These terms govern your use of Companyhaus, the browser extension and this website. Please read them before you subscribe. By installing or using Companyhaus you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Companyhaus is operated by Leadhaus, of 479 Cricklade Road, Swindon, SN2 1AQ, United Kingdom. You can reach us at quicklookup@theleadhaus.io. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Leadhaus trading as Companyhaus, and "you" means the person or business using the service.

Companyhaus is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Companies House, GOV.UK, or any UK government department.

2. What Companyhaus does

Companyhaus is a browser extension that retrieves and displays information about UK companies from the Companies House public register. It shows company status, incorporation details, directors and recent filings, and presents that information in your browser without you needing to visit the register directly.

We do not create, verify, correct or add to the underlying data. We retrieve it and present it.

3. Accuracy of company information

Please read this section carefully. Company information shown by Companyhaus comes from the Companies House register. That register is maintained by Companies House, not by us, and it depends on companies filing accurate information on time.

Information may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong at source. Filings appear on the register only once they are made, so recent events may not yet be reflected. We cannot guarantee that what you see is accurate, complete or current.

Companyhaus is an information tool. It is not a credit reference agency, and nothing it shows is a credit score, a credit rating, a recommendation, or financial, legal or professional advice.

You must not rely on Companyhaus alone when deciding whether to extend credit, enter a contract, supply goods or services, employ someone, or take any other decision that carries financial or legal consequences. You remain responsible for your own due diligence, and for verifying anything material directly with Companies House or an appropriate professional adviser.

4. Free and Pro plans

Free. You can use Companyhaus without an account, subject to a fair use limit of ten lookups per day. We may adjust that limit.

Pro. A paid subscription that removes the daily limit and unlocks additional features, currently full director detail, complete filing history, CSV export, and company watchlists with change alerts. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the product develops.

When you subscribe we issue you a licence key. That key is personal to you or to your business and must not be shared, resold or published. We may suspend a key that appears to be shared or misused.

5. Payment, renewal and price changes

Pro is available monthly or annually at the prices shown in our pricing section. Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total amount you pay. Leadhaus is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and no VAT invoice can be issued.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. By subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms as our payment processor.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annually, until cancelled. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time. Your subscription then continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which it will not renew and your licence key stops working. We do not pro rate refunds for part used periods.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing. Because access is immediate, by subscribing you ask us to begin supplying the service straight away and acknowledge that you may lose that cancellation right once supply has begun. In practice we go further than the law requires: if you are unhappy within 14 days of your first payment, contact us and we will refund it in full.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use Companyhaus for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the Companies House terms of use or the Open Government Licence
attempt to bulk extract, scrape, mirror or resell data obtained through our service
share, sublicense or publish your licence key
interfere with, overload or attempt to circumvent limits on our service or infrastructure
use personal data shown on the register in a way that breaches data protection law, including for direct marketing where that is not permitted

8. Availability

We aim to keep Companyhaus available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. It depends on third parties, including Companies House and their API, browser vendors, and our hosting providers. We may suspend the service for maintenance, or to protect it, and we may change or discontinue features.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of Companyhaus or from reliance on information it displays.

Subject to the same, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or £100 if you have not paid us anything.

10. Ending your access

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if we suspect fraud or misuse, or if we stop providing the service. If we end a paid subscription other than for your breach, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes or the law requires. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects your rights as a subscriber, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
